Yesterday I had a discussion with my fellow philosopher Ms Dekker about what defines intellegence. We came to the conclusion that intellegence (although I cannot remember our exact words) is a person's ability to understand the extent of their stupidity.
The theory comes down to the fact that if you are a true intellect then you are able to understand that there is so much that you will never understand and that everything you learn merely scratches the surface. Although a person's inability to accept these terms could also be classified as ignorant. It's quite a complicated theory, which shows the extent of our own stupidity.
Although, one must also ask yourself the question as to where the line between intellect and wisdom merges? This I do not know, but I believe it comes with age through learning from the mistakes we make.
I think we (Ms Dekker and I) should study philosophy....
