WEDDINGS AND ALIENS

So today I had a photoshoot in the woods down my street from my house  with fellow photographer Spazchin.... I must thank our awesome assistant and amazing model Frances! whooohoooo, I dont think she's ever been that cold... all in the name of art though. This shoot reminded me that I don't really like taking photos of people and I'm not particularly good at it either, it was a great experience though and I'd do it again! Happy Holidays People!

GIMME A BREAK

ok... so sorry about not blogging in such a long time. Not that I'm sure who I'm apologising to seeing as nobody actually reads this blog. Oh well! anyway... I took this photo thinking it would look cool, but the outcome is pretty average, still I"ll take it down as experience.

DREAMING REALITY

Had a really interesting thought the other day. I think we've all had those moment when we cant distinguish between dreams and real life. Sometimes we remember something, thinking it happened to us and then with shock we realise that it was actually dream.... or at least that happens to me.

If you haven't experienced that, then I'm sure you've experienced that moment when you recall something to a friend/family member and they have no idea what you're talking about. This is then followed by many, "how can you not remember that?" or "I am not lying, that did happen!" Well, this happened to me the other day and it was such a prominent and obvious memory that I could not believe that my counterpart could not remember it. This got me thinking... what if I wasn't remembering a real memory. What if I was actually recollecting a dream that I had long ago that I had forgotten was a dream. This begs the question as to how much of our lives is actually real and how much we make up as we go along!

NO.... JUST NO!

For those who might be starting to think this.... i am not obsessed with death or dead animals. This poor mole drowned in our pool :(
I decided to take photos of him (or her) because i thought it made for interesting subject matter. Every death is as significant as the next. You might look at this and think it's gross, but facts are you are going to be in exactly the same position as him/her. No, that does not mean you are going to drown in my pool... i hope not. Death is just one of those things. Because really, we're all just vessels filled with organs that will at some point perish and stop working.

On that depressing note, good luck to all those writing exams. I am past halfway! The end is Nigh!

STARK SHADOWS

So today was one of those days. I had finished, to great relief, my English Paper 2 exam. For some reason every exam I dread this specific one. This year especially because we had to write about the very monotonous and dreary novel of The Native Commissions which I still haven't read. Although, from what I found, you really don't need to.

With this relief and no imminent and important exams coming up, I decided to take the by off and do something i have been wanting to for a while now. I got a big bed sheet and covered my cupboard and proceeded by taking some interesting and abstract photos. Although, this was an art experiment, that is why I edited these photos so much. My belief is still that a photo is about capturing a moment, you cant change that moment!

Anyway, I pretty much spent my whole day editing these and I am really happy with how it turned out. Me filmsta!! Oh and the whole 'contagious' thing, I thought of the word and it just stuck... it's a really cool word.

The furry hat- I have no idea, but it seemed like a good idea at the time to shove it on my head and run in front of the camera with it.

P.S. found these really cool bands whilst surfing You Tube. The featuring bar is an amazing place and can lead you to magical parts of the internet you never knew existed. One of my favourites was "Paper Kites" - CHECK IT OUT!
