The Clones

The pictures you see above was featured in my album "The Clones" on onesmallseed...whoopwhoop!

In other news: The beginning of the end has approached, the final step to becoming free of the school system. Only the final exams remain and then I am REALLY out of school and going on to the next big adventure. I must say that I was rather disappointed that I wasn't more sad on valedictory, I was just contempt. It felt like I'd said my goodbyes sufficiently throughout my whole school career.

I had the best birthday week anyone could ever ask for. It started with Monday as the art exhibition opening which was very successful (especially the sushi I had afterwards) . Tuesday I one of the greatest school days: I bunked two lessons and chilled under the trees with some awesome folks. Wednesday was the Matric dinner, and although I was apprehensive, turned out to be a wonderful evening. Thursday was our LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: it was truly one of the best days. Chilling with friends, sighing shirts and going for a McD's run. This was followed by the awards assembly where I, along with Ms Nina Dekker, got the best Visual Arts student award! YEAH! and finally Friday, my actual birthday.
It started with valedictory, which as previously stated, I did not experience as expected but still a memory worth treasuring. This was followed by the valedictory party which I along with Nina and Sakura arrived early for... most awkward moment EVER! but it got better very quickly... much better.

So yeah... that was my birthday week. Keep it real!

Night Basin

So this past Saturday I, along with my fellow matrics, set up my final art exhibition.
It was simultaneously joyful and sad. Now it's all over. Everything that I've looked forward to, is now over. Ever since I fist saw a matric exhibition when I was still in prep school, I always wondered what mine would look like, and there it is.
Another element of school which has come to an end. Never again will I look forward to going to my down stairs art class. Never again will is wonder what my final exhibition will look like.

These last few days, as I walk through school, I've been noticing a change. I look around at the people and the school and it feels like I've already left. I don't feel part of the school any more and probably never will again. I know I should feel excited, and yes I do, but I am very sad as well.
Did I have best ever school experience?
Probably not, but it was still good enough to miss it from time to time.

Still in the Street

First off, apologies for not blogging in AGES.
My internet has been failing me :(
And for some reason I can't change my cover photo unless its like 2.5 bytes small, so just deal with the really small pictures OK.

WOW... a lot has happened since I last posted:
  • Got another album posted on onesmallseed (will post later)
  • Had a really cool photo shoot (will also post later)
  • Went to rocking the daisies (AWESOME!!!)
  • Wrote mock exams
  • Finished all my practicle art work
  • This list doesn't seem as long as i though it would be
But there is a lot of stuff coming up like:

  • My Birthday
  • Valedictory
  • Matric Dinner
  • Final Matric exhibition
  • This list also didn't end up as long as I though it would.
OH! The Killer new album came out:
It is incredible.

Strand Looper

First and foremost, I apologise for the long absence. Been really busy and I wanted to get all the photos from my long weekend ready before I posted them.
So here they are: there will be many more coming.

Can't remember if I said this already, but I got one of my albums featured on onesmallseed!
An entire album!
Also got another photo featured today, it's starting to sound a bit like a bad joke.

Matric is killing me sideways and I thought that was drowning...
on the edge of a nervous breakdown.
BUT
tomorrow is the last day of school and then its prelims, which surprisingly I prefer over school any day.

Oh and AMAZING news! I mean AWESOME!!
I got accepted into Rhodes for Fine Arts with a major in psychology!!
I am so excited and happy, everything is working out perfectly.
